⭐️ If you don’t already know us, I’m Cass, founder of MexicoCassie, and Jaime is the founder of Lupita Overland
We are both passionate about Mexico, its magnificently varied cultures & people, and we both love to help others fall in love with this country.
Jaime has been running overland tours along this route for years, he knows the region like the back of his hand, and is loves to share the best spots, and the best experiences with his clients
Cass has been travelling around these areas since 2009, has a deep passion for Mexican culture, nature, history and, well everything Mexican. She, too, loves to enthuse others with her passion for this region
See what others have said about our tours:
“I just returned from a two week trip in southern Mexico [with Cass and Jaime], it was an amazing adventure that took us to cultural, natural, and archaeological sites through several states. In this world of AI generated content and people who pretend to be something they’re not, I can say that Cass is the real deal; an experienced traveler, wonderful communicator who has a wealth of information and insight to share, and an all round excellent person” (Katie)
“This tour was the most incredible experience! Jaime, is the dream tour guide. Super organized, a really well paced tour…He has an incredible ability to connect with everyone. You couldn’t be in better hands. We were fortunate to also have another amazing tour guide, named Cassie. She is also super knowledgeable about the areas we visited, she is full of great recommendations and lots of common sense advice. Because of our guides’ area knowledge and great planning, we got to places before the crowds, had fabulous informative guides for ruins tours, & enjoyed great local cuisine. (Beth)

Days 1 – 4: CDMX
Day 5: travel to Oaxaca via theTehuacán-Cuicatlán Biosphere Reserve
Days 6 – 7: Oaxaca City
Days 8 – 11: Oaxaca coast

This 11 day tour kicks off in the best city in the world (in MexicoCassie’s strongly held opinion), CDMX. Here, we’ll enjoy mariachi, museums, visit the ancient floating gardens of Xochimilco, and the awe inspiring pyramids at Teotihuacán, Frida Kahlo’s world famous house, and of course, enjoy the historical city
🇲🇽 If you’ve ever wondered about visiting Mexico City but have felt daunted by its sheer size, then there is no better pairing than Jaime and Cass to help you get to know this magnificent place. We both LOVE this city. Jaime lives here and Cass fell in love on her first visit in 2009.
As we drive to Oaxaca, we’ll stop for a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Tehuacán-Cuicatlán Biosphere Reserve, the world’s densest forest of giant cacti. We’ll arrive in Oaxaca just in time for a twilight stroll.

In Oaxaca we’ll explore the city, visit the incredible, Monte Albán archaeological site, the petrified waterfalls (pictured) at Hierve el Agua (don’t forget your bathing suit), learn about pulque, and, of course, enjoy the vibrant city markets and incredible cuisine.
→ Oh my goodness, this sounds amazing, please, take me to Lupita’s website so I can reserve my space!
The next section of the trip is more relaxing, as we head to the gorgeous Oaxaca coast to relax on the beach, spot wildlife, cruise the bays, and of course, swim before saying goodbye!
