A few reviews:
“Yucatan with Kids is just what I need… When you read most blogs or sites online, the information is geared toward adults. This Mexico guide book is written through the lens of a parent, and it includes helpful details critical for kids (like how steep the cenote steps are). The book is packed with helpful tips (like an FYI that some restaurants may give visitors the “cruise” menu geared toward people coming from cruise ships!). The guide of cenotes alone is worth the price of the book, but I especially loved the section on lesser known activities, such as exploring caves and visiting haciendas. If you’re traveling to the Yucatan with kids, you 100% need this guide book.”
“The book is chock full of tips that no one else is going to tell you, plus Cassie takes it a step further and gets kids involved. You’ll be reading their unscripted remarks about different areas you can visit in the state. In fact, that’s exactly what sets this book apart from other guidebooks. It’s well written and has so much useful information AND you get the perspective of kids about many of the sites included. Do yourself a favor and buy this guide now and then plan your trip. You’ll thank yourself after your amazing trip to Yucatan (the state), Mexico!”
“We spent 5 weeks with a home base in Merida practicing our Spanish, learning about Mayan culture, and exploring the state. We have a 4 and an 8 year old and this book was crucial for figuring out things like where to find playgrounds and play spaces in the city, first Cenotes to visit, climbable Mayan ruins, etc. I would highly recommend this to anyone spending time in the Yucatan with children and maybe even for those without kids.”
“What a wonderful find. Yucatan is such a great place to visit and this book really helps the local flare shine through. It is a wonderful guide to places and adventures that are little bit off of the beaten path. I had never been to Mexico before and this book was essential in guiding my kids and I through the Yucatan like a local on vacation rather than a tourist. An absolute MUST read!”
