The sudden appearance of AI in our lives in 2024 has made me more aware of the need to be very clear about this website and the high quality information you’ll find here. 

Writing & editing

The majority of articles on the MexicoCassie Goes International website focus on Mexico and Spain. There are also few articles about Portugal, the UK and Greece that Cassie just couldn’t resist writing.

The vast majority of articles on this website are written by Cassie and are based on first-hand experience and oodles of research. Other articles are written by trusted and knowledgeable team members who know the region they’re writing about extremely well. I don’t hire anyone I don’t believe knows their region extremely well.

All articles are fact checked and edited by Cassie before publication.

There are a few round-up articles where other bloggers have contributed to articles – these are all labeled as such. They are also fact-checked and edited by Cassie prior to publication.

Updating

I try to keep articles as up to date as possible. I make regular small updates to many articles and don’t change the publication date. I also try to give each article a full overhaul every year to ensure the information provided to you, the adventurer, is as up to date as possible.

AI tools

AI tools are not used for research purposes or to write anything for the Mexico Cassie Goes International site. 

Why? Partly because AI is not reliable. We know because we’ve been checking and reading. It will give bad advice, suggest places that have closed down or simply don’t exist at worst and at best give you an ok but boring overview of somewhere.

I also don’t like that AI effectively stops blogs being read. Bloggers like me put a lot of work into providing you with the best information we can based on our own first hand experiences. We remain committed to the human experience, the human touch and to true human connection.

Photography

The vast majority of photos used on MexicoCassie Goes International were taken by Cassie. Anything not taken by Cassie will be labeled as such and attributed to its owner.

I don’t recommend anything I haven’t researched or checked out thoroughly myself. My primary goal is to provide my adventurous readers with information that allows them to have the very best experiences in the countries I love deeply.
